A.A. and Hurricane Katrina
Trudging writes a bit about an experience with a New Orleans AA affected by Katrina:
Outright Mental Defective: A.A. and Hurricane Katrina
I've not yet met someone directly affected by Katrina, but I will on Saturday when friends join us for my birthday dinner and a special recovery (unofficial AA) meeting. One of our friend's sister and her boyfriend and his son will be joining the get-together. They completely lost everything except the cars they drove and the clothes they could throw in them. I hope they can forget about their troubles for a little while and, well, I just don't know, but I hope the best for them.
